Calvary Mountain, a place of worship:

The name “Calvary Mountain” was chosen to reflect the way of the cross of Jesus Christ. It depicts the mountain of sacrifice and devotion to Christ on his way to crucifixion on Mount Calvary.

In the year 2013 Miss Estrella Rigodon felt that God was asking her to develop this parcel of land to share to many people God’s Providence.  It was not an easy task and much work to be done.  But through God’s grace this place of worship little by little came to realization.  Construction began on the big Cross and from there all the other aspects fell into place, the platform, the chapel, the main staircase, and the station/way of the cross.  Thanks to the family and friends, acquaintances and also the workers who made this endeavor possible.  Now with the help and effort of so many, who believe that this place will become a beacon of hope and a testament of God’s immense Love for all of humanity, the construction of the Calvary Mountain was realized and continues to unfold.

I would like to acknowledge each and everyone who, in one way or another, has contributed to the realization of the Calvary Mountain Station of the Cross, Sirao.  It is not easy to face a task such as this project, but with prayers, faith, trust and confidence, perseverance, the mercy of God will always prevail and everything will fall into place according to His own plan.  Let us keep on praying and extending our helping hands and charity especially to the poor and the needy.

Sincerely yours,

Estrella C. Rigodon (Founder)
